Over my lifetime I have watched technology progress from Commodore 64 computers and Atari
game stations through the internet’s rise to the evolution of the now-indispensable smart
phones. The possibility within the world of technology fascinates me; it is a world that is
limited only by the number and pace of ideas contributing to it. After a career in health
care, I have leaped into this world of creativity and infinite potential.
I have graduated from the University of Denver’s Web Development program and am furthering my education with online courses. I have now learned HTML5, Bootstrap 4, CSS3, Sass, JavaScript, jQuery, Node.js, Express, SQL, Sequelize, MongoDB, and React. While all web development career paths appeal to me, I target a front-end web developer role where my strengths in motivation, diligence, and creativity can shine amongst a web development team.
Checked the FDA website for newly released medications and provided clients with summaries of the history, development timeline, mechanism of action, and therapeutic significance of any medications that could conflict with their products. Delivered summaries to the client within 8 hours including coordination time with the project medical editor and the project manager, demonstrating excellent deadline management skills and the ability to manage large volumes of information in a short amount of time.
Provided editing services to medical and scientific professionals who were not native English speakers who wanted to have their work published in English-language journals, demonstrating very close attention to detail.
Compared medical records and treatment requests against current evidence-based guidelines to determine the medical appropriateness and necessity of requests.
